Administrative Adjudication Hearings

The City of Zion, by Ordinance, provides that any person who has been served a violation notice for a qualifying vehicle, ordinance, or building code violation may contest the alleged violation in an Administrative Adjudication Hearing.

Hearings are held twice a month at Zion City Hall, 2828 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois. The hearing date and time are listed on your Citation or Administrative Tow Form.

Overnight Parking

Parking is prohibited on city streets between the hours of 2am and 6am. Short-term permission to park on the street overnight may be granted under certain conditions. Contact the police department at 847-872-8000 for more information.

Criminal Records Check – Access and Review

Any individual may obtain a copy of their criminal history from the Illinois State Police, Bureau of Identification through any Illinois law enforcement facility under 20 Ill. Adm. Code 1210, Individual’s Right to Access and Review Criminal History Record Information.  A person may request their criminal history at the Zion Police Department. They must come in during business hours and pay the applicable fingerprinting fee to be printed on the Livescan machine.

The criminal history or a written statement indicating no criminal history will be mailed directly to the individual fingerprinted along with information regarding how to challenge any incorrect criminal history entries.
